Haiti Immigration Services
1/20/2010
The Obama Administration announced that it would give thousands of Haitian nationals Temporary Protected Status (TPS), a temporary status given to selected immigrants who cannot safely return to their home country due to natural disasters, armed conflicts or other emergencies.
Lutheran Family Services Immigration Program is able to represent Haitians in the Triad and Triangle regions of North Carolina with this process. Our program will provide free consultations to Haitians who need representation to screen for eligibility.
For more information please call 336-553-1506.
If you would like to give to this program visit our donations page.
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE
Following the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that devastated the island country of Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, ELCA Disaster Response partners have survived the quake and are already working to serve the people of Haiti.
Your help is needed today to bring immediate relief and continued hope for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. About 3 million people, one-third of Haiti’s population, were affected by this earthquake.
One hundred percent of your gifts designated to Haiti will be used in this vital response effort.
