SPLASH Camp is held at Reformation Lutheran Church, 1118 Union St., Columbia.
Volunteers and vistors are asked to schedule visits with the SPLASH Camp Director Cindy Ott at (803) 260-1011. For security reasons, all volunteers and visitors must sign in at the camp office.
The children will arrive at 8:30 a.m. each morning and leave at 3:30 p.m.
The SPLASH Executive Committee oversees decisions regarding the SPLASH Camp.
The Camp Director is Cindy Ott, who will direct the program on a full time basis during the full six weeks. She is employed as Education Coordinator by Lutheran Family Services in the Carolinas. In addition to the Camp Director, the SPLASH Camp team consists of a volunteer coordinator, food coordinator, transportation coordinator, curriculum coordinator, music coordinator, an events and activities coordinator and six interns from Newberry College to tutor the children according to age groups.
We will be enlisting teachers from the local school districts as well as students to assist us as volunteers.

The children will be served breakfast and lunch daily. The meals are provided in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Social Services’ Summer Food Services Program, which is a United States Department of Agriculture program designed to provide nutritious meals to eligible children.
Volunteers are scheduled to go through training June 2 - 6, 2008.
