Transitional Apartment Program (TAP)

TAP provides a safe and secure living situation for homeless adults with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI). Residents are provided with rent and transportation for up to a year while accessing services, going to school or job training, attending therapy sessions or volunteering. Any clinical services needed are provided to them by an outside provider of their choice. During their stay they are encouraged to budget and save their money to have a deposit and be able to pay rent for an apartment of their own.

TAP has a success rate of approximately 80 percent for residents who are able to move either into their own housing or into other long term housing provided by other agencies and programs.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Apartments

TBI Apartments include additional services such as Case Management and Community Support Services by an outside provider of their choice. Residents live rent free, are independent, and learn to utilize community resources and transportation. Individuals in our TBI apartments learn independence, apply daily living skills they have learned, obtain a job or job training, attend therapy sessions and complete household chores with little assistance from staff.

The goal of TBI Apartments is for residents to become completely independent and move into a non supervised living arrangement such as an apartment of their own.

Both programs operate within the same apartment complex. Though residents are encouraged to exercise their ability to be independent, staff is available on site for assistance.
