Each year, LFS Carolinas works to bring healing and wholeness to more than 14,000 children in crisis, adults with special needs, refugees and individuals and families at risk of becoming homeless or struggling to recover from disaster. LFS partners with human service providers, governmental agencies, congregations and others to provide the most effective programs and outcomes possible. Founded in 1976, LFS is a joint social ministry of the North Carolina and South Carolina Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
